Can I use EMSELLA?
Nearly everyone can use EMSELLA.
Contraindications which make it ineligible include:
- Currently pregnant or have had childbirth within the last 6 months
- Pelvic surgery within the last 3 months
- Metal implants in the pelvic area
- Pacemaker, implanted defibrillator or other electronic implants
How many sessions do I need?
Six x 28 minute sessions are required for full benefits.
Sessions are spaced 48hours apart.
Following the initial full program, maintenance sessions are recommended once or twice a year as required.
We recommend speaking to your Doctor about the benefits you experience and using the Medicare Incontinence Rebate each year to maintain the new quality of life you are enjoying.
Is it for Men and Women?
Yes! EMSELLA has positive results for incontinence, sexual intimacy and urinary urges for both women and men.
It can greatly improve quality of life for both sexes.
Who can't use EMSELLA?
Anyone with the following
- Currently pregnant or have had childbirth within the last 6 months
- Pelvic surgery within the last 3 months
- Metal implants in the pelvic area
- Pacemaker, implanted defibrillator or other electronic implants
How much does it cost?
Pelvacare Program (6 sessions over two weeks) $1,800 inc gst
Single sessions are $350 including gst
Can I get the Medicare Rebate?
All Australians are eligible for a $700 annual Medicare Rebate for Incontinence. Simply speak to your GP today to organise your payment for these sessions.
Can I book just for me?
Our service involves creating a safe and professional environment in your facility - Retirement Village, Aged Care Home or Community Centre.
There is a minimum of 12 people booking the Pelvacare Program, there is no maximum number.
Once the minimum is reached other people are welcome to book single sessions during the installation period.

Where will it be set up in our centre?
Every facility is different, but our service is consistent.
We work with you to identify the best room that is private and relaxing so we can set up our EMSELLA® Chair and create the perfect environment for all of your sessions.
Will there be a trained professional?
Yes! Your first session requires a ten minute introduction and your professional will facilitate an easy learning and get you comfortable with the equipment.
Sessions 2 to 6 are much easier as you know the process, but our professional will be with you every time and always on hand to help throughout.
What benefits will I get?
Results may vary however clinical studies have shown that
- 95% of participants experienced an increase in quality of life,
- 44% reported they no longer needed absorbent pads,
- 54% reported a vast decrease in absorbent pad usage,
- Female sexual function improved for a reported nine months with increased sexual desire, improved lubrication, desire and orgasmic response.
What medical history should I share?
- Pelvic pain or undiagnosed bleeding
- Epilepsy
- Heart disease
- Cancer (current or past history)
Will any of these mean I can't use EMSELLA?
In most cases we are still able to proceed however please disclose these so we can move forward in conjunction with your Health Professionals advice.
